Since our application uses both 32 and 64 bit executables (depending on the client's configuration), we really need a 64 bit dll.
As an alternative we can use the com interface, but I can't find any documentation about it. The sdk documentation only lists the differences with the previous interface without documenting it. We would prefer to use the library but we cannot use it without 64 bit support.
