Re: How to use the .Net API in a single instance application

Hi,

thanks for your response. I was refering to a previous post ""Unable to cast object of type 'System.MarshalByRefObject' to type 'Interop.Plantronics.SessionComManagerClass'."}" . In our softphone application I tried to use the COM API which apparently has a conflict when remoting is already used. Because our softphone application uses the application framework and is marked as single instane, the problem happens resulting in not being able to instantiate a SessionComManager. A bit of googling revealed that behind the scenes of single instance, Microsoft uses remoting (to communicate between two instances), that is why it is probably the same problem as other users ran into.

I do not understand why the conflict in remoting happens, it should be possible to use multiple remoting connections in parallel without problem. I hope you have a solution for this.

Hope to hear from you soon

Bert
